Capturing the Best Angles

Use  Drone Photography to get the best views

AEROJO can cover all the best angles of your property with hi resolution still photography or 4k video. As long as there are no obstructions or prohibited air space such as runways or highways, we’re good to fly. Here’s an example of a recent building. With over 25 years of commercial photography/video experience we can also cover the inside as well. Check out our interior work at www.polillio.com

About the Process

We begin by first inputing the address where aerial drone operations are to be conducted into our flight planning tools and maps to ensure flight operations can be conducted safely and legally. If Authorization from the FAA is needed to fly in controlled air space, we take care of it.

Then we try to best define the scope of the project

  • Type of operations are needed still photography, video, mapping
  • What is the end use?
  • Launching areas
  • What are your deadlines
  • Weather conditions and forecasting
  • Budget considerations

Case Study

Using Aerial Drone Photography for 3D rendering

It was exciting to be contacted by Hudson Projects, a very talented design agency that does 3D Rendering for architectural clients. They were hired to do a rendering of a new apartment complex being built in Jersey City for the developer to use for marketing and advertising these beautiful new buildings. After checking the air space and confirming no authorizations were needed to conduct aerial drone operations in the area, Hudson Projects gave me the location and altitude that they wanted the drone to shoot from. Using Google Earth we were able to determine if our drone location would be good with the 15mm lens that I needed to use.  We then turned our attention to finding a safe launch site and flight path, which can be a challenge in such a congested area. A local tire center was kind enough to grant us permission, which turned out to be almost exactly below where the drone needed to be positioned. We decided the best time of day to shoot would be close to sunset which requires using anti collision lights on the drone. I love the Pico Max by Aveo. It’s small and easy to mount. Everything went really well and I’m so pleased at the end result. The applications of aerial drone photography and video is only limited by the imagination.

Aerial Drone photography is an emerging technology with lots of exciting new uses. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions to determine if drone operations are right for you.

Are you Licensed with the FAA?
Yes. License number can be made available upon request

Do you have insurance?
Yes. Not only do we have Business Liability Insurance, but more importantly, each we carry Aviation Insurance, which is required for commercial drone operations.

Do you need any special permits or authorization to fly at my location?
We can’t answer that until we have the exact address where aerial drone operations are to be conducted. If Authorization is needed, we’ll take care of it.

Can you fly at night?
Yes. AEROJO has a special waiver from the FAA to fly at night. However it requires proper planning and strict adherence to FAA regulations to conduct safe operations.

Can you operate in New York City?
No. And currently no commercial drone company can operate legally in all 5 boroughs of New York City, despite the videos you see on You-Tube or what others may say. Conducting illegal flight operations in NYC can lead to expensive fines. See nyc.gov for more info.
